From time to time, some of these questions make their way into my email inbox. So I figured some others might find the answers useful as well. I’ll gradually be adding to these questions.
How long have you had Lyme Disease?
While I didn’t get diagnosed until probably 5-6 years after I was infected, symptoms I experienced date back to when I was in college. So we think I likely contracted it in 2011.
How did you get diagnosed?
As you may have heard, getting a proper diagnosis for Lyme Disease can be challenging! We had multiple tests performed by my GP and specialists before tests showed definitive evidence for Lyme. I recommend finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor if you suspect you have Lyme Disease. More information about this process can be found here: What To Do if You Think You Have Lyme Disease
What did you do for treatment?
My Integrative Doctor had me on an intense treatment regimen of both traditional and natural remedies. Those helped reduce the infection load, but it wasn’t until I used the Dynamic Neural Retraining System that I saw huge shifts in my health.
What kind of detox methods did you use?
Detox is crucial when treating Lyme! This post shares my favorite Lyme Disease detox methods.
Tell me more about the Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS):
What can I say about DNRS?! A whole lot! DNRS has completely changed my health for the better. DNRS uses neuroplasticity-based techniques to rewire your brain for healing. This may sound a little out there, and I totally get that. But it’s an approach based in science that changes the pathways of your brain so the chronic fight or flight stress response is calmed which then allows your body to heal. I’ve written quite a bit about DNRS already, so check out those posts for more information on it!
