Back when I lived in China, I wrote regular “Life Lately” posts to share what I was doing or learning that particular week. Those posts were both informational for readers and therapeutic for me. I enjoy processing through putting words out into the world. So since this blog is new, I want to continue that pastime with regular “Life Lately” posts that will go live most Fridays. Here, I’ll share what I’m learning, reading, doing, etc. while including links to resources that may be valuable to others!
I have news, my friends! I’m going to start taking on clients for freelance writing projects! It’s something I’ve considered doing for years but it wasn’t until I started seeing significant improvement in my health that I even thought it could be possible. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I could meet deadlines when my health was inconsistent. Now though, I’m confident I can do it!
Like with any new challenge or adventure I pursue, I’m researching as much as possible to become more effective in the craft. If you need a freelance copywriter, blogger, or PR gal, please check out my website.

My health continues to get better and better! Some days, Jonathan and I just look at each other and marvel over the healing God brought to my body, mind, and spirit. A big part of the healing journey has been through using the Dynamic Neural Retraining System. I can’t say enough good things about this program! It was the missing piece of the puzzle I needed for recovery.
I recently told a friend that not only had I worked every day this week but I had the energy to clean our house, go to the store, and make dinners and lunches. She goes, “Yay! You’re fully human again! That’s how life is supposed to be.” I couldn’t help but feel even more grateful for seemingly “normal” life stuff.
Have you ever used Right Now Media? Our church has a subscription plan for our members to use Right Now Media, and I absolutely love it! (Also, I’m not an affiliate for Right Now Media. I just enjoy it and think you could, too.) Our young married couples Sunday school class is currently doing Chip Ingram’s study, Effective Parenting in a Defective World. Even though Jonathan and I aren’t ready to have kids quite yet, it’s been wonderful to learn about parenthood. We’re able to talk through how we see parenting in the future so we can be intentional parents once the time comes.
